I’ve just started my first long term project, while in college and it’s name is Cosmos, just like the Cosmos itself, this project means absolutlly everything that exists to be meant. Just kidding, but it’s quite a personal deal to me.
See, I’ve always been pationate for gaming and back in the days I’ve used to see my older brother and his friends at cyber-caffes/lan-houses playing Counter-Strike 1.6 but it took some time for me to actually play it myself, however once I’ve got myself a computer, the first think that I’ve tried was Counter-Strike Condition-Zero and the first server I’ve joined was a complete different gamemode. That was when it clicked “I wanna become a programmer”.
A year goes by and I’m already with my custom created JailBreak server, all done with the power of Amxmodx and I’ve spent my teenegerhood writting plugins for Counter-Strike as hobby and I’ll eventually post about them here as well. But I’m not a teeneger anymore and I’m almost finishing college, it’s time to go bigger.
Cosmos is a project that’ll embrace sub-projects in itself in order to create a 3D Renderer in the hopes of becoming a complete 3D Game Engine one day.
It’s going to be hosted on github or maybe you’ll find it on the dev page, if I change it’s repo for some reason.
This is probably the most dauting and difficult thing that I’ve ever tried to do in my entire life, but it’s exactly the reason why I program.
